We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our dynamic HR Team. In this role, you will get exposure to what it is like to work in a Human Resources Department. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in various areas of Human Resources.
The responsibilities of this internship will include (but are not limited to):
- Assist with the recruitment process to include a review of resumes, job postings, pre-screenings, and schedule in-person or virtual interviews.
- Assist with the implementation of the onboarding process.
- Assist with job descriptions.
- Assist with the update of the Employee Handbook and HR policy writing.
- Handle general HR correspondence and provide administrative support.
- Conduct research on workplace policies, employment legislation, and HR-related best practices.
- Participate in weekly HR meetings.
- Assist with ad-hoc HR projects, initiatives, and company activities.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate or graduate student with coursework or background in Human Resources Management Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or related fields OR a recent graduate with coursework in HR.
- Commitment to a minimum of 20-25 hours a week.
- Prior clerical and office experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work well with all levels of employees.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and the internet.
- Knowledge of the tenets of the Catholic faith is a plus.
