Research & Development Intern at MeiraGTx through Project Onramp

This paid internship will be reserved for a college student from an under-resourced and/or under-represented group, through Project Onramp. Candidates must be recipients of the Federal Pell Grant.

The intern will work directly with our research associates on a variety of tasks related to the development of our ongoing gene therapy programs. During the internship, the intern will have the opportunity to learn about modern day gene therapy, day-to-day operations in a biotech laboratory, and will acquire hands-on experience in various laboratory techniques.  

The intern will have responsibilities that may include but are not limited to:

  • Participating as a hands-on team member, including team meetings, contributing to research by performing experiments at the laboratory bench
  • Contributing to the documentation of produced data (writing, analysing, presenting)
  • Assisting research associates with the design, development, and testing of new equipment or experiments
  • Other duties as needed and/or assigned
