Summary
The Tutor is responsible for providing academic assistance to students on a one-on-one basis or in groups in order to advance academic achievement. The tutor guides academic development through versatile study strategies that best suit the student’s individual needs. ______________________________________________________________________
Essential Functions:
● Work with students to improve their skills in certain subjects.
● Evaluate students’ progress and discuss the results with both the students and their guardian.
● Provide academic support for New York State Regent Exams and APEX online classes.
● Prepare appropriate study materials for each session according to the student’s needs.
● Collaborate with the Department of Education and staff to deliver the best possible academic support services to our students.
● Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
● High School Diploma or equivalency.
● 1 year of experience.
● Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali and others, may be required depending on client needs. ( if possible)
● Advanced interpersonal skills, math and English proficiencies, and organizational skills. Ability to plan and carry out assignments.
Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
Qualifications Preferred:
● Knowledge of the New York State Regents Exams. Job Behavioral Expectations:
