Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting Benefits Orientation & other trainings as needed.
- Communicate with QSAC staff about benefits plans including medical, dental, and transit.
- Assist staff with benefits enrollment during Life Events and Open Enrollment.
- Assist with the completion of all leave related and workers compensation forms.
- Process enrollments and terminations with current FSA/DEP/Commuter/Cobra carriers.
- Process Vehicle No Fault Insurance applications.
- Review Insurance Waiver documentation.
- Electronic filing of all benefit related documents.
- Process all check requests for employee reimbursement programs and worker’s compensation medical invoices.
- Complete check requests for union invoices and prepare backup for benefit carrier invoices.
- Enter union salary changes in HRIS system.
- Process medical insurance waivers in HRIS system.
- Serve as backup to the HR Office Manager as needed.
- Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.
- Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.
- Complete required QSAC training.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
Qualifications & Education
- Associate’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- 1 year of Human Resources experience. Benefits administration is a plus.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in sensitive situations.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, HRIS programs and G-Suite.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be well-organized and very detail oriented.
